Horseman’s Park, approximately 6:30 PM
Individuals, businesses, and community organizations can join in on the fun and raise funds for the Horseman’s Park Improvement Fund (HIP). This hilarious special event is part of the HIP lineup of competitions, activities, and demonstrations scheduled for September 11, 2010 starting at 6:00 PM
For $10 you can have some fun and possibly take home a trophy, all the while contributing to the Horseman’s Park Improvement Project.
Any team of two people can participate. By signing up in advance, the entry fee is a low $10 per team and your business or organization can field as many teams as you can rustle up. Themed team uniforms, costumes, logos and colors are encouraged. The wilder the better!
The top team in this timed event will be awarded the coveted “Goat Trophy” to be proudly displayed in a place of honor. Second through fifth places will win championship ribbons.
What is goat dressing? One of rodeo’s most wildly popular events, Goat Dressing requires no special training or skills and can be run by almost anyone. The two members of the team race to the goat’s location in the arena. One member of the team holds the goat (the header) and the other must place a pair of briefs on the goat’s hind legs (the heeler). They then run together back to the finish line. Best time wins!
Registration starts at 5:00 PM at the HIP Event Show office. $10 per team – Cash Entries only. Pre-entries call (702) 455-8206 or email info@equineeventlv.com.
