Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth

Homelessness among youth is a growing crisis in the Las Vegas Valley, the state of Nevada, and the United States. For more than a decade, the Nevada Partnership for Homeless Youth has provided Southern Nevada’s unaccompanied homeless youth with help, hope, and the opportunity to rebuild their lives.

NPHY is the most comprehensive service provider for the thousands of homeless youth in Southern Nevada. NPHY provides access to life-saving services for homeless youth 24 hours a day at virtually every street corner in Southern Nevada.

Their programs stabilize the lives of homeless teens, providing a safe, supportive environment and a path to self-sufficiency. Through their work with homeless youth, NPHY creates productive, healthy adults who contribute to society.

NPHY is not just a standalone shelter or drop-in center, but rather offers a carefully crafted grouping of programs and services that meet homeless youths’ needs wherever they are on their journeys beyond the streets. Together, NPHY’s programs meet homeless youths’ survival needs while building a path to self-sufficiency and success. Some of their programs include:

  • Outreach
  • Safe Place
  • Drop-In Center
  • Emergency Shelter
  • Operation Go Home
  • Independant Living Programs
  • Referrals

NPHY is only able to provide critical services for homeless youth with the involvement and support of our community. You can change the lives of homeless youth by volunteering, raising awareness about youth homelessness and NPHY’s work, or contributing resources. Please visit their website to learn more about how you can help end youth homelessness in Southern Nevada.

Windy's Ranch & Rescue

Windy's Ranch & Rescue is home to more than meets the eye. While pigs are their main focus, they have rescued horses, ducks, chickens, cats, a dog or two, and an EMU.

The rescue began right after the financial downturn, when lots of animals were being dumped. It's taken a lot of love, hard work and dedication, but the animals make every day a joy for all involved.

Windy’s is committed to finding safe, loving homes for their rescued potbellied pigs, but are also cautious and need the new owner to make an informed decision. For the right people, PBPs make wonderful companion animals
